Indiana Public Media, which administers NPR and PBS stations in the state, ran a story on Indiana’s new Physician Orders for Scope of Treatment (POST) program. As you may have read in a previous post, Indiana’s POST legislation just passed the legislature this month and was recently signed into law by Governor Mike Pence. The Indiana Public Media story introduces POST to Hoosiers and includes comments from a legislator explaining the benefits of POST over existing advance care planning tools. In addition, the story indicates that both Bloomington and Fort Wayne are interested in becoming POST pilot sites. Kudos to Indiana for passing this important legislation and for hitting the ground running!
